Lawrence Homan Public Inter College is founded by Late Lakshmi Narayan Singh with the joint efforts of Mr. LHA Homan and Mrs. M.L.C Homan (British)in 1989. They desired to provide quality education to this area. The fee sonly goes to improve facilities and status of the students.

Beyond bookish knowledge our aim is to nurture young minds, to focus on their holistic development and to develop their moral, ethical, human and spiritual values so that each child may develop character and confidence with a deep rooted passion in pursuit of excellence.

The college has developed gradually. The college which started from one room, has more than 50 rooms today other than 6 labs, a big library, an auditorium. The campus covers an area of  170000sq feet. There is eco friendly atmosphere, open space and large playground with indoor and outdoor games.
